The mechanical performance of PBT resin is mainly depending on its intrinsic viscosity or molecular weight,the larger molecular weight it has,the better physical properties it has.Loose tube for OFC requires PBT resin with very good mechanical performance,which needs PBT resin has higher intrinsic viscosity.In the industry,it takes solid condensation route to increase the intrinsic viscosity to meet the requirement of loose tube.
